CLOWS TOP GARDENING CLUB: September is a good time to cut back or lift and divide established perennials. But if you’re too busy, or it’s too wet, don’t panic, leave them until spring.

Life in the garden is starting to slow down, but there is still plenty to do. Dead heading, weeding and removing fallen leaves will keep borders looking good.

To brighten the patio, plant up a winter container with cyclamen, pansies or bellis for colour.

If you need some fresh ideas or advice for your garden, then why not join us for a cup of tea and a chat at one of our monthly meetings. Don’t be afraid to come along, we are a garden club not a horticulture society. Non-members welcome to any monthly meeting.

The next meeting will be on September 27, the speaker for the evening will be Bill White, plus it’s the clubs Autumn Show.

Wednesday 25 October, The Severn Way, Brian Draper.

The club meet the fourth Wednesday in the calendar month at Clows Top Victory Hall; Doors open 7.30pm, for the speaker at 8pm.

Admission Fee: Members £2 or non-members £4.

Free Refreshments. Magazine swop. Members flower of the month competition.
