PAROCHIAL PRIMARY SCHOOL – The school received the prestigious International Schools Award for 2008 at a ceremony in London.
Organised by The British Council, the award is granted to those schools that have made major advances in bringing awareness of the outside world to their pupils.
Lorri Yeldham, who collected the award from George Alagiah on behalf of the school, said: “Our children now communicate with other schools in France, Italy and Russia. French, Spanish and taster sessions of languages are taught in school.”
The school’s international links will continue to expand in the future.
