WI – Arrangements were finalised for the boat trip from Evesham with ‘twin’ WI from Malvern Link later this month.
The result of the jumble sale at Clows Top was given. Notes for a course at Denman College on dowsing were passed round.
The supply of cakes and personnel for doing the refreshments in the pavilion at the Far Forest Show in August was worked out.
The speaker was Mr George Gladden, whose talk was entitled ‘the modern library’. He has worked in libraries in several places including Bewdley. His present post is at Kidderminster.
He described the beginnings of the library movement in the 19th century until the present day. He described all the many services available through the library.
The next meeting is on September 9 at Far Forest Centre at 7.45pm when the speaker will talk about canal art. All welcome.
