HARTLEBURY COMMON LOCAL GROUP: Dave Scott, former wildlife warden, led an early morning walk identifying bird song on Hartlebury Common. On a beautifully sunny day, many species were heard and seen including yellow hammers, flycatchers and many warblers.
On August 13 at 2 pm, insect specialist, Gary Farmer will lead a ‘Grasshopper Walk’ on Hartlebury Common. It will be followed, at about 3.30 pm, by a bring and share picnic. Contact Dr Joy Rooney on 01299 877275 for further information if you would like to attend these events.
