YOUNG pet lovers will have the chance to learn more about caring for small furry animals at free workshops at a Kidderminster pet store.

My Pet Pals Easter activity club will be held daily, excluding Easter Sunday, at 2pm throughout the Easter holidays at Pets at Home, in Crossley Retail Park.

The store team will be on hand to share their knowledge, quiz the children on pet care in a furry friends trail and help club goers create their own pet puppets.

Children will also have the opportunity to meet the stars of the workshops including hamsters, gerbils and guinea pigs and help the store team feed them.

Store manager Emma Morgans said: “We want to help children have great fun across the Easter holidays as well as the chance to learn about responsible pet ownership.

“Young pet lovers in Kidderminster will get an insight into the level of care needed to ensure these types of pets live happy, healthy lives, while the workshops also give parents a fun activity to entertain their children during the Easter holidays.”

After completing the workshops, each child will receive a certificate, sticker and a pet promise card.
