The January meeting began with the president Pat Charles telling members the sad news of the death of the “Franche WI “ first president in 1967 of Hilda Harris at the grand age of 92 she had attended meetings until just a few years ago. The evening was given over to a fish/chicken and chip supper and concluded with a beetle drive, which was won by Sarah Delahay.
The birthday raffle winners were Joan Nutland, Jan Haynes, Dulcie Salter and Sue Murkett. The winner of the plaque for the most wins in competitions for 2014 was Kath Vaux, runner - up Margaret Burley and third Doreen Clemson.
February’s meetingwill be an open evening where the talk on the work of the Air Ambulance,will be given by Adam Williams.
Competition for the evening will be “An aircraft ornament or memorabilia”.
