KIDDERMINSTER SOROPTIMISTS: During the first week of October, under the auspices of our UK programme action committee, a number of our club members carried out a local survey to gauge the level of public awareness of the issue of ‘Human Trafficking and Modern Day Slavery’ across the UK. The data collected will then be analysed and the results publicised in due course.

The next fundraising event is on November 12 at 7pm at Baxter Church Hall when local war historian Mark Baldwin who had enthralled the audiences before with his presentations on the Enigma Machine and the Female Agents of the SEO – will talk on “The invasion of the Channel Isles in WWII”. Tickets £8 including a glass of wine and nibbles with proceeds going to charities supporting war widows and/or injured female soldiers.
