BISHOP of Worcester, the Rt Revd Dr John Inge, will be blessing a new window at St Mary’s Church in Stone on Sunday, September 12.
The window is in memory of Stone School, which closed in July 2007 and features a picture of school dating from 1894 and symbols representing the work of the school.
Bishop John will be taking a confirmation service in Chaddesley Corbett at 9.30am and will then travel to the church for a short dedication of the memorial window.
The service will also be Revd John Cox’s last Sunday before retirement – he has been a vicar for 37 years and has served the parish for the last 27.
