KINVER Library will be transformed into a science museum throughout August as Think Tank run a series of exciting days in the village.

Staff from the Birmingham Science Museum will host a number of events each Monday at both the library and Kinver Sports and Community Association, in Legion Drive.

There will be a different focus at every session, including a 'space day', 'fabulous forces day' and 'bodies day', and on two of the days there will also be a Planetarium Dome popping up at the KSCA.

The events get underway from 10am on August 7, with the library hosting a destination space show for five to eight-year-olds, and a space mission show for those over eight from 11am.

KSCA will host a planetarium light dome show from 2pm and a night space dome show from 3pm for all ages.

On August 14, there will be a forces show for seven to 10-year-olds, focusing on gravity, friction, air resistance, magnetism and springs at 10am, before a science of sport show for over 10s at 11am. Both at the library.

An amazing bodies show will take place from 10am at the library for five to eight-year-olds on August 21, which will be followed by an under your skin show for eight to 12-year-olds at 11am.

KSCA will once again hold a planetarium light dome show from 2pm and a night space dome show from 3pm.

Booking is essential for the fun and educational shows, and library staff recommend reserving as soon as possible as places are limited and are selling fast.

To book a place on one of the sessions, which cost £5 per child and last between 45 minutes and an hour, visit the library or call 01384 872348.
