AROUND 800 homes were affected following a power cut in Kidderminster this afternoon (October 19).
Western Power Distribution confirmed they were investigating the power cut in the DY10 area of Kidderminster at around 12.30pm.
Around 800 homes were affected initially, with engineers hoping to get power back on by 2pm.
But due to a delay, this was not possible, and engineers now expect to have all homes with power by 6pm this evening.
A spokesman for WPD said: "Sorry for the delay to some customers affected by the power cut at Kidderminster, DY10 area.
"We estimate 18:00 to restore the power."
The spokesman added: "There were 800 homes affected initially, we have restored 760, so 40 are still without power.
"We apologise for the inconvenience."
