The latest fundraising effort by Robert Dover’s Cotswold Olimpick Games committee was a was a soul/funk/disco evening in the tent in the garden of the Volunteer Inn in Chipping Campden.

The main act was very popular local funk group Kinky Farnham with support from Good Knight Hall.

Stratford-based Good Knight Hall (Drew Hall – vocals and guitar and Douglas Knight – percussion) warmed up the the growing crowd with a well-received set.

After a short break Kinky Farnham took the stage.

The band, which draws their members from in and around Chipping Campden and Mickleton, are led on lead vocal by games committee chairman Tom Threadgill.

The next event organised by the games committee is the Chipping Campden Chilli Eating Competition on Saturday, October 27, taking place at Toke’s Food and Drink in Chipping Campden (owned and run by Kinky Farnham bassist William Bennett.
