MUSIC fans are in for a treat as the next session of Saturday Night Jazz takes place at Halesowen Cricket Club on Sunday, October 14.

Taking to the stage will be the newly-established The Syncopators.

The Syncopators, led by trumpeter Jon Stone, have evolved from the New Washboard Syncopators (now employing Nick Ward on drums rather than Tony Quinn on washboard) and play foot-tapping, classic jazz numbers from the 1920s and 30s.

A spokesman said: "This will be a welcome return visit to the club following their tremendous performance last year when they went down really well with the dancers.

"Also greatly admired by the listeners it promises to be a most lively and enjoyable evening."

The session runs from 8pm until 10.30pm and admission, on the door, is £5.
