A CANCER survivor is inviting people to attend a coffee morning at her Rubery home on Saturday to raise money for Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer.
Lisa Fitch, who is now in remission, will be handing out hot drinks and selling slices of cake at her home at 5 Prince Charles Close from 10am to 1pm in an effort to 'give something back' to the people that supported her after her diagnosis last year.
The 44-year-old told the Advertiser: "When I was having my radiotherapy at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital I came across two ladies, Yvonne Sinclair and Sharon Smith, running a tombola stall for Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer.
"They invited me to join their choir and I've met so many new friends. I can't thank them enough.
"I'm not strong enough to do the Race for Life or anything like that at the moment so I started thinking of other ways I could give something back to them and came up with a coffee morning."
Lisa and her friend Julia Williams will also be hosting a raffle at her home on Saturday, with prize hampers donated from local companies including M&S, Boots and Sainsbury's.
Raffle tickets will cost £1.50 for one, or £5 for a strip. Cakes and cupcakes will be priced between 50p and £1.
