AN RAF family was given a free stay in a grade II cottage to relax.

Joanna and Craig who own The Crook Cottage in Stow-on-the-Wold let their cottage to Sarah and Michael. Michael, serves in the RAF and has been deployed for a significant period of his two years old son's life.

“We had an absolutely amazing time in Stow-on-the-Wold. Our cottage was absolutely beautiful and we were overwhelmed by the owners’ generosity” said Sarah. “Joanna checked we were ok every step of the way and we could not be more grateful for the time we had together last week as a family and as a couple”.

It all started when Joanna, owner of the stunning cottage The Crook, saw a post on Twitter from Ant Middleton, Special Boat Services veteran and now Channel 4 host.

Ant is an Ambassador for the charity Give Us Time.

Thanks to donations of accommodation from hotels, cottages and private owners, the charity provides vital respite breaks to military families, giving them the chance to rest, recover and reconnect in a neutral environment.

“It’s great to be involved with this cause and we are so happy to be able to help out”, said Joanna.
