A MOTORIST in a convertible had to be cut free by firefighters after crashing into trees at Himley early this morning (Tuesday).
Emergency services were called out at 6.31am to the incident near the junction of Himley Road and High Arcal Road.

The driver of the convertible was released from the vehicle by firefighters from Brierley Hill and Dudley Fire Stations and taken to Russells Hall Hospital, Dudley.

A section of the B4176 was closed while emergency crews worked at the scene but it has since re-opened.
