CHANGES are being made to waste and recycling collections across the Malvern Hills district over the Christmas and New Year period.

Collections will take place as normal on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

But most other households will see their collection date pushed back by one day, with the exception of those due to have a collection on Christmas Day who will have their collection brought forward to Saturday, December 22.

Residents who would have had refuse collected on Tuesday, December 25, will now have it collected tomorrow (Saturday, December 22). The Wednesday, December 26, collection will be moved to the following day, and the same will apply to the Thursday and Friday collections.

The recycling collection on Monday, December 31, will go ahead as normal, but the recycling collections on the following four days will also be held a day later than normal

Collections return to normal on Monday, January 7.

Christmas wrapping paper can be recycled if it passes the scrunch test – scrunch it into a ball, if it holds its shape then put it in your green bin/cherry sack. If it springs back it needs to go in the black bin/sack.
