A RETIRED man from Bromsgrove has proved its never too late to learn, after earning his masters (MA) at Birmingham university.
Jamie Morris, 62-years old from Aston Fields, recently completed his MA in Contemporary History.
It has been 40-years since he was in education but he wasn’t put off by this gap.
He said: “Its true that the other students were a fair bit younger than me.
“But the wide age range was one of the best things about the course. We all brought different experiences.
"It just goes to show you’re never too old to learn something new!”
Mr Morris was awarded a distinction for his work, which specialised in the role of charities in late 19th century and early 20th century Britain.
He added: “Birmingham University is such a terrific place to study and with the extra train service, it’s so easy to get to from Bromsgrove."
