UNSUNG heroes are once again being sought for the Pride of Malvern Hills Community Awards.

The awards, previously the Our Malvern Hills Community Awards, recognise dedicated members of the community who have improved the lives and well-being of residents.

Now in its third year, the award scheme was created by Malvern Hills District Council and has been a huge success in the past.

Organisers are now appealing to the public to help make this year’s awards bigger and better by nominating even more people, organisations or projects.

There are six categories: Inspirational Young Person’s Award, Cleaner and Greener Community Award, Improving Lives Award, Community Project Award, Inclusive Award and Business in the Community Award.

The awards will be presented at a ceremony at the HD Anywhere Stadium, home of Malvern Town FC, on Tuesday, March 19.

The awards form part of Malvern Hills District Council’s five-year plan commitment to building stronger and healthier communities.

Cllr David Watkins said: “The Pride of Malvern Hills Community Awards are a magnificent celebration of the many ways our residents get involved in their communities and make a difference to people’s lives.

“If you know an individual, organisation or project making a difference where you live, then please nominate and help us shine a light on even more of those wonderful people and ensure they get the recognition they deserve.”
