THE Market Theatre in Ledbury has announced details of a busy programme for February.

There’s an encore screening of The Tragedy of King Richard 11 from the National Theatre.

By contrast, a new version of the classic story. ‘Three Little Pig Tails’ will entertain the whole family “with music, laughter and with beautifully crafted puppets plus a garlicky French twist to the tale”.

A spokesman added: “Enjoy an Evening of Fun, Laughter and Song with ‘Mervyn Stutter ‘- who was a founder member of The Flying Pickets and was a Legend at The Edinburgh Fringe. He is an accomplished singer and guitarist, his solo shows also include lots of clever comedy songs.”

Don Quixote,a screening from Royal Ballet Covent Garden is one of Marius Petipa’s much loved 19th century classics. The story is drawn from Miguel de Cervantes’ classic novel and set to Ludwig Minkus’ score.

Then there is The Brubeck Project.

The spokesman added: “For many, Dave Burbeck’s Take 5 is the sound of Jazz. Enjoy Neil Maya with some fine musicians from the South West authentically reproducing the best known of his numbers.”

As for films, there will be a WEA Film Study Day with Tutor Michael Pyke looking at the life and career of Luchino Visconti.

And then there is Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again!

The spokesman said: “Yes, they are all back – Sophie plans to reopen the renovated Hotel Bella Donna with a party reuniting her family and friends.”
