AN armed robber said to be wielding a hammer raided a newsagents in Bromsgrove.
At around 11.45am yesterday a man entered a newsagents on Deansway and threatened a member of staff. It's reported he was holding a hammer.
He stole cash and a quantity of cigarettes before leaving the premises on foot with another male who was waiting by the door.
They left down an alleyway which leads onto Highfields.
There were no reported injuries.
The offender is described as a white, approximately 6ft, in his late teens or in early twenties, with blue eyes, and blond or light ginger hair. He was wearing facial coverings.
The male in the doorway is described as a white, in his late teens or in early twenties, approximately 5ft, of an average build, wearing dark clothing.
Detective Inspector Ed Slough from West Mercia Police said: "A number of enquiries are currently ongoing and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed the offence or any suspicious behaviour in the area to please come forward. "
