A FORMER star of the popular TV show Gladiators will be coming to the Cotswolds later this month to share his Christian faith.
Warren Furman, better known as Ace in the 1990s show, will be part of a team visiting a number of schools in the Chipping Campden area and taking part in different events including a special Messy Church and a youth party.
Campden Baptist Church is organising a whole host of invitational events during the five-day ‘Turning Point’ outreach from March 27-31, which is being led by Roger Simpson, who works for the Archbishop of York, and his team, including Warren.
As well as taking part in school assemblies and lessons, the team will be joining various church groups and working with its ‘Connect’ group around Chipping Campden.
On Thursday, March 28, there will be an evening at Campden Baptist Church with Tom Simpson entitled ‘Robots, Our Masters?’ looking at the challenges and opportunities of Artificial Intelligence from a Christian perspective.
There will be a free youth event at Campden Baptist Church with Ace the Gladiator on the evening of Friday, March 29, from 7.30pm-9.30pm.
On the Saturday afternoon, March 30, at Chipping Campden School from 2pm-3.30pm, Ace will be the special guest at a Messy Church afternoon which will include crafts, inflatables and a pop-up ice cream parlour.
