A LEOMINSTER schoolboy's charity haircut has raised more than £500 for the Little Princess Trust.
Eight-year-old Isaac Gardner began growing his hair in August of last year after setting his sights on raising funds for the charity.
Proud dad Keel Gardner said: "We all watch Children in Need, Stand Up to Cancer and Comic Relief on the TV and Isaac has said on a few occasions that he would like to make the poorly children happy.
"He likes to text in and donate some of his own pocket money, so Isaac and his mum Sara, who is a hairdresser, came up with the idea."
The keen young fundraiser celebrated his eighth birthday on March 11 by having his long locks shaved off.
Leominster Primary School pupil Isaac's efforts have raised a grand total of £522 in donations.
Founded in memory of five-year-old Hannah Tarplee, the charity provides real hair wigs to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other illnesses.
