A DELEGATION from Poland took a tour around Herefordshire crisp manufacturer Tyrells this week.

The Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Hereford, Councillors Sue Boulter and Kath Dallimore-Hey accompanied representatives from the City Council of Jaworzno, Poland on the visit to the Stretford Bridge factory.

The trip was organised by the Mayor of Hereford's office to support an ongoing relationship between the two cities.

Jaworzno and Hereford entered into a partnership in October last year, when a delegation from Hereford travelled to the Polish city to sign official papers linking the two cities.

The partnership between Hereford and Jaworzno is based on enhancing the current cooperation between the cities and to further develop a programme of mutual exchanges that will benefit businesses and residents.

The visiting party was given a guided tour around Tyrrells 30,000 square foot production facility, where they learned about the brand's rich farming heritage and sampled products from the award-winning range

Tyrells Marketing Manager Sarah Lawson said: "We're always thrilled to host guests at Tyrells Court Farm to showcase our authentic provenance and quality credentials.

"It has been a real pleasure to extend the hand of friendship to our Polish visitors, especially as they were able to meet our brilliant manufacturing team - some of whom originate from Poland.

"We were also able to introduce our English hand-cooked crisps, which it seems are universally loved the world over!"
