SUE Perry, who is stepping down from Tenbury Town Council after a year as Mayor, says that the achievement that she is most proud of during her year in office is the Civic Garden.

“One thing I am most proud of is the addition of the Civic Garden, which is now widely used by residents and visitors,” she said.

“The local Royal British Legion have asked if they can use the garden to hold a service for Armed Forces Day, what a tribute that is.”

Before she joined the Town Council and became Mayor Mrs Perry was heavily involved with the Royal British Legion and the annual poppy appeal.

She has dedicated her time as Mayor to projects that work with young people and before Christmas visited the Bluestone Centre at Bleathwood that works with young people that have been excluded from school.
