TWO serving prisoners have appeared in court charged with wounding another prisoner during a mutiny.
Yasin James and Khalid Sheikh both appeared in separate videolink hearings from prison at Worcester Magistrates Court yesterday (Thursday) charged with section 18 wounding at HMP Long Lartin in South Littleton, near Evesham.
James, aged 24, and Sheik, aged 31, did not enter pleas to the alleged offence said to have taken place on September 30 last year against James Peters. Mr Peters suffered burns said to have been caused my boiling water mixed with syrup and chilli flakes and knife injuries to his face during an attack in his cell.
Both defendants will appear at Worcester Crown Court on June 3 for a plea and case management hearing.
They were both remanded in custody.
