BROMSGROVE’S free summer ‘Bands in the Park’ programme will continue this week with a special event.

On June 23, visitors to Sanders Park can enjoy performances from 1.30pm – 4.30pm by local choir groups including The Theatre Workshop Choir, Artrix Songstars Showchoir, Sing and Tonic, Redditch Gospel Choir and Rock Choir.

In between the choir performances there will also be music from Lucy Williams, a professional singer with repertoire including pop, rock, musical theatre. and jazz.

The performances will take place at the Jubilee Bandstand in Sanders Park, on Kidderminster Road in Bromsgrove and are completely free for anyone to attend and enjoy.

Everyone is welcome and guests are invited to bring along chairs, tables and picnics.

Cllr Phil Thomas, Bromsgrove District Council’s portfolio holder for leisure and cultural services, said: “We’ve already had some excellent performances so far this month and I am looking forward to the choirs’ event which will showcase the local talent in and around the district. I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for some lovely weather too so that visitors can enjoy music - and perhaps a picnic - in our beautiful park.”

Look out for next month’s schedule for more Bands in the Park.

All outdoor events are subject to weather conditions.
