A WOMAN has been jailed for 29 weeks following a spate of shoplifting in Dudley and Halesowen,

Lauren Bolton, aged 40, of Little Hill Way, Birmingham, pleaded guilty at Dudley Magistrate's Court to stealing £928 worth of make up from Wilkos in Dudley and admitted stealing £248 worth of perfume from Boots, also in Dudley. She also pleaded guilty to stealing £175 of rechargeable batteries from B&Q in Halesowen. She was jailed for 29 weeks due to breaching a suspended sentence and was also ordered to pay £115 in compensation.

The following cases were also heard at Dudley Magistrate's Court last week.

Christopher Kidson, aged 28, of St Marks Road, Tipton, pleaded guilty to stealing £71.69 of goods from Asda. He received a 12 month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £135 costs.

Connor Moody, aged 19, of Warrens Hall Road, Dudley, pleaded guilty to driving an Audi in Oldbury without insurance and driving while disqualified from holding a licence. He received a community order and must carry out 100 hours of unpaid work. He was also ordered to pay a surcharge and costs totalling £220 and was disqualified from holding a driving licence for 12 months.

Shaun Brooks, aged 36, of Carlton Avenue, Stourbridge, admitted breaching his probation requirements. He was fined £80 and must also pay £60 costs.

Mohammed Salim, aged 30, of Raleigh Road, Bilston, was found guilty of assaulting a police constable in Dudley. He was jailed for six weeks and was ordered to pay compensation and a surcharge totalling £215.

Jordan Emery, aged 25, of Beaumont Road, Halesowen, pleaded guilty to assault and behaviour that amounted to stalking. He was jailed for ten weeks due to record of previous offending and was ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge.

Charlene Kelly, aged 33, of Northwood Court, Brierley Hill, pleaded guilty to stealing £221.31 worth of goods from Merry Hill. She received a 12 month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay a surcharge and costs totalling £205.

Lee Cook, aged 42, of Beecher Road West, Halesowen, pleaded guilty to driving a motorbike over the legal alcohol limit, driving a motorbike without insurance and driving a motorbike without a licence. He was fined £108 and ordered to pay a £30 surcharge and £185 costs. He was also disqualified from holding a driving licence for 12 months.

Jasjot Singh, aged 18, of Abbey Road, Smethwick, pleaded guilty to destroying the front passenger window of a car that did not belong to him, causing £60 of damage. He was ordered to pay £305 in fines, compensation, surcharges and costs.
