A POPULAR two-day festival in memory of a mum will return once again with a brilliant line-up of live bands, entertainment and more.

Puddle Party presents Orchard Fest is set to take place at Puddle Wharf Farm on Redditch Road in Bromsgrove on Friday, July 12 and Saturday, July 13 raising money for Primrose Hospice and St Richard’s Hospice.

Dave Morgan launched Orchard Fest in 2016 in memory of his wife Trish, who passed away from a brain tumour in January 2011.

Trish had been inspired to hold the festival before she died and her family carried out her wishes creating a family-friendly event.

Mr Morgan explained that Trish had been so grateful for Primrose’s support and wanted to help them by raising money for the charity.

The family, from Aston Fields, have raised thousands of pounds for both hospices over the years.

Mr Morgan said: “Primrose Hospice was there for us when we needed some support and we have always been very appreciative of that.

“We wanted to give something back because people do not know when this sort of thing is going to happen to them and they do not realise that these places need help.”

This year’s Orchard Fest will see Save the Date headlining on Friday and New 57 on Saturday evening.

Also included on the line-up are Larko, Living the Dream, solo artists Lucy, Polkadot Robot and more while festival goers can enjoy other entertainment and a bouncy castle.

There will also be a pig roast, bar and DJ.

Food will be supplied by charity The Real Junk Food Project.

Emma Williams, from Primrose Hospice, said: “There’s a wonderful festival atmosphere and a great line up of bands you can enjoy with your friends and family.

“It’s a lovely tribute to Trish and we are grateful to Dave and his family for organising it every year and raising funds for Primrose.
