A POPULAR Stourbridge pub will host a series of musical events this week to raise money to help the homeless.
The Artists For The Homeless series kicks off on July 16 with a sponsored mountain walk in South Snowdonia, where a group of fundraisers will take on the mountain in aid of the town's homeless community.
The pub will then host an open mic night on July 18 to help bolster the pub's homeless advocate fund and the local food bank. The night will also include a special performance from award-winning choir the Spectrum singers.
The following night, July 19, will see the Enville Road pub play host to internationally renowned DJ Peza spinning the decks with guest DJs, with the £5 admission going to the pub's ongoing work to help the homeless.
A mini Stourbridge Blues Festival will then take place on July 21 headlined by singer-songwriter Ian Parker, alongside performances by The Buzzing hornets, Pete Bodiss and a few surprise guests.
The day will also see a live painting session take place in Katie's yard.
A spokesperson from Katie Fitzgerald's said: "Proceeds from the gig go to our homeless advocate fund and all artists have very generously donated their time and energy to the cause. It's going to be a fantastic day's music starting late afternoon, hopefully the sun will shine!"
Tickets for the festival cost £10, with all proceeds going to the appeal.
