Dear Sir/Madam
Councillor Amos should take the trouble to get up at 4am and walk around the city centre, he would then understand why there are so many gulls. Streets and pavements are covered with uneaten fast food and black bags with food waste lying around. He also needs to remember that only a few miles away there are tens of thousands of gulls on the Hill and Moor Landfill site scavenging the food we can afford to throw away but waiting for vacant territory in a Worcester city centre. We have brought this problem on ourselves.
What does this say about a society which can throw uneaten food into the street or discard as household rubbish ? And we call gulls greedy?
Yours faithfully
Derek Fearnside
