REDDITCH United are still looking for their first win of the season after a battling draw at Needham Market.

Reds came from behind twice to draw 2-2 last Saturday after goals from Callum Coyle and Rhys Hylton.

The point saw them hit back following last Tuesday's 3-1 loss at Rushall Olympic and means they have picked up two draws from their opening three games.

They now take on Lowestoft Town at the Trico Stadium this Saturday before a bank holiday trip to take on Alvechurch on Monday.

Boss Ian King is happy with how his new-look squad is progressing.

He said: "After the Rushall game we felt unlucky to come away with a defeat. We felt hard done by and thought we deserved something from the game.

"It meant we were confident going into the game on Saturday on the back of that but it was a long trip and it seemed to take us 20 minutes to get the journey out of our legs, which was a disappointment.

"We showed really good character to equalise but then a bit of naivety to concede again before half time.

"We kept plugging away in the second half and got the goal late on to get a draw.

"We've been good over the piece so far and are happy. We are still looking for the first win but we're by no means panicking or overly concerned.

"We just need to tighten up a little at the back and improve our finishing but we're not that far off.

"Lowestoft is going to be a tough game again. They have some experienced forwards and we know we'll need to be right at it.

"But we're going into the game with confidence.

"If we can have a positive result that can then fire us into the game against Alvechurch on Monday. We won't worry about that too much until after Lowestoft. It could be a good weekend if we do everything right."

King has no injury concerns ahead of the busy weekend.
