A RECRUITMENT event is being held later this month for those interested in working in the county’s community hospitals.

Managers from Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust, the county’s main provider of mental health services and community hospitals, are looking to recruit healthcare support workers to roles within Worcestershire’s community hospitals.

Healthcare support workers provide hands on support and care to patients during their time in hospital. The role is varied and includes assisting patients to move around, talking to patients and making them comfortable and undertaking patient observations including temperatures, pulse and weight.

Prospective applicants should have some experience of working in a care environment, an NVQ Level 2 in Care or a good standard of general education to GCSE level.

Once in post, applicants will work on wards alongside doctors and nurses to deliver a high standard of patient care, so good communication and people skills are essential.

The event takes place on Thursday September 23 in Perdiswell and includes each step of the recruitment process; interview, DBS and occupational health, meaning suitable applicants may leave with an offer for employment on the day.

To register your interest for the day, search vacancy reference 798-9350 on NHS Jobs or contact the recruitment team on 01905 681548 by Thursday September 19.
