A COUNTY watch manufacturer has announced that they are crowdfunding their newest watch.

Hanbury Watches has launched a campaign on Kickstarter to fund its first ever mechanical watch.

Over the last two years, Hanbury Watches has been designing, prototyping and testing the automatic watch from the ground up, resulting in their first ever self-winding watch.

The watch has been built by hand from natural woods and stainless steel and has been crowdfunded by watch enthusiasts and the public.

The crowdfunding campaign, which finishes on Thursday, has raised more than £27,000 in donations from across the country and overseas.

Paul Masters, founder of Hanbury Watches, said: "Our first ever self-winding watch is now fully funded.

"I have no words to describe how much I appreciate the support.

"The Automatic has been a long time coming. Ever since Hanbury was created back in 2017 it's always been a dream of mine to create a mechanical watch built without compromise.

"Now 2 years later that dream is becoming a reality."
