A CHURCH in Worcester is opening its doors early this weekend to offer an alternative place to watch the Rugby World Cup Final.
Woodgreen Church, in Warndon, is using its large screen and surround-sound system to show the game for around 100 fans on Saturday morning.
Assistant pastor Duncan Cobbett told the Times: "Worcester is the biggest city never to have had a professional football team so rugby is pretty big here.
“As a church, we’ve got a lot of space and we think it’s a good opportunity to engage with our community and welcome people in.”
The game kicks off at 9am and the church is offering bacon sandwiches and pastries to everyone who attends.
