TWO pubs in the county have been named as having the best licensees in the county, in the 2020 Good Pub Guide.

Norman and Janet Whittall of the Three Horseshoes, near Bromyard, and Glenn Williams of the Bell Inn, Tillington, were named in the top ten.

Janet Whittall, who has owned the pub for 30 years, said: "Despite time going by and being in the guide a number of years, we're still doing what we've always done.

"We still look after customers, greet them with a smile and ensure staff do the same."

Mr Williams added: "Whilst I am very proud to be on the shortlist for Licensee of the Year, the pub's continued success is down to my wife Kate, our daughters Tilly and Fay, and many longstanding members of staff.

"Not to mention the regular eating and drinking customers who frequent the pub."
