LYE High Street will re-open to traffic tomorrow (Saturday) council bosses confirmed.
The road has been closed for repairs to a collapsed sewer system which has been causing flooding and damage to properties.
Severn Trent Water have today (Friday) confirmed repairs have been completed and the area is being reinstated.
The road closure will remain in place tonight with the road re-opening to traffic tomorrow - much to the relief of motorists.
Andrew Sumner network manager for Dudley Council said: "The traffic management system of a road closure will remain in place overnight to allow the tarmac to cure and will be removed first thing in the morning of Saturday 14th December.
"We apologise for any inconvenience that these works have caused, but it was essential that this sewerage system was repaired."
The work has been completed earlier than expected as it was due to be finished next Wednesday (December 18).
