ROMANTICS looking to propose to their loved one this Christmas can take advantage of a unique seasonal gift opportunity from Dudley registrars.

For the first time, budding proposers can purchase a gift set for their partner, to help them pop the question.

For £20, romantics can receive a personalised mug with a wedding venue picture of either Priory Hall or Thomas Robinson Building, including the words Mr and Mrs, plus a surname of choice.

This comes together with a ‘save the date’ card and it is all presented in a gift basket and wrapped in cellophane.

Penny Fulford, superintendent registrar, said: "Christmas is typically one of the most popular times to become engaged, and we always get a flurry of enquiries for our wedding venues in January.

"We are often asked if we have anything that people can give their loved ones to help them propose, so this year we thought we’d provide something specially for them.

"We hope this proves to be both useful and fun and it will definitely be a unique way to ask this most important question."

To find out more, or to order a Christmas mug proposal package, contact Dudley register office on 01384 818349, or email register.office@dudley.gov.uk

The gift can either be collected from Priory Hall in Dudley, or it can be posted for additional postage and packing.
