A FRESHLY-planted crop of cannabis has been raided by police called to a burglary in Oldbury.

Officers were responding to a burglary in progress on Fisher Street, this afternoon (January 13), when they discovered the plants.

Officers said the factory had only just been set up.

West Midlands Police officers have arrested one man in connection with the find - who remains in custody.

Oldbury police shared video footage of the raid with its followers on Twitter.

The plants have now been seized by the force's cannabis disposal team.
