The new government has been in office for one month, and is facing many problems, from Brexit to the recent aggressive US foreign policy.
We in North Herefordshire have a Conservative MP who was re-elected in December 2019 with a considerable majority.
Those of us who did not vote Conservative are waiting for the promise made by Boris Johnson that this government will represent the whole nation, including those who did not vote Conservative, and we look forward to seeing the results of that promise.
Meanwhile, the Labour Party is undergoing huge changes, and on April 4 a new leader will be announced.
He or she will be elected by the membership and trade unions.
There is a new brief entry of membership available this year to entitle people to vote for the person they would prefer to be leader of the Labour Party.
I would like take this opportunity to thank the electors of North Herefordshire who voted for Joe Wood, the Labour candidate, during the recent general election.
