It will be a musical walk down Memory Lane at The Artrix in Bromsgrove, but for one night only, as Britpop comes to town.

In face, three Britpop favourites will be rocking the venue on Saturday, March 14, on the main stage.

A spokesman said: "The three Britpop favourites, Chris Helme of The Seahorses, Mark Morriss of The Bluetones and Nigel Clarke of Dodgy will each perform a solo acoustic set."

Chris Helme first rose to prominence as the front man of John Squire’s post - The Stone Roses band The Seahorses which saw him touring extensively and sharing the stage with The Rolling Stones, U2 and Oasis in numerous support slots. Now solo - he is still rightfully remembered for Britpop classics Love Is The Law and Blinded By The Sun.

Mark Morriss is a singer songwriter who famously made his name fronting English indie outfit The Bluetones. Mark continues to front the four piece after a successful and fruitful 20 plus year period, scoring 14 top ten singles and 3 top ten albums, whilst touring the UK, Europe and Japan.

Nigel is a singer, songwriter, producer and of course best known as the lead singer from Dodgy. Nigel and some members of Dodgy were originally from Bromsgrove and Redditch before they moved and formed the band in Hounslow in 1990. Dodgy are best known for their hits Staying Out for the Summer,If You're Thinking of Me, and Good Enough.

The spokesman added: "Audiences for the 90s Legends gig at Artrix are encouraged to make a night of it and join the lads in the bar after the show where they will be selling and signing merchandise.

"Plus the bar is open till late with a DJ playing some Britpop bangers!"

Britpop was the sound track for all our yesterdays, at least if you were out and about in the 1990s. It provided the anthems of both despair and optimism, with a little bit of cynicism thown in for good measure.
