Is Eddi Reader, Scotland's greatest living female voice?

She's coming to The Artrix in Bromsgrove in the autumn, so a local audience has the opportunity to make up its own mind.

Eddi is celebrating her 40th year on stage with a ‘40 Years Live’ concert tour in 2020, which will come to Bromsgrove on Friday, September 25.

She said: “The last 40 years have been an unforgettable journey.

"It’s a privilege to mark four decades on the stage with this 2020 tour and to have an opportunity to reflect on all that has passed in that time. I look forward to sharing some great music and a little nostalgia with Bromsgrove crowds in September.”

From her earliest years playing the folk clubs of western Scotland and learning how to street sing across Europe (like her hero Edith Piaf), Eddi's path soon led her to a professional career in music as a backing singer for Eurythmics and Gang of Four. Her band Fairground Attraction had huge international success and number one hits, including ‘Perfect’.
