BROMSGROVE park-goers can enjoy some refreshments this Bank Holiday weekend as the Sanders Park Café opens as a take away on Saturday.
Over the last week James Stokes and his team have been fine-tuning arrangements to ensure that social distancing can be applied as they serve customers hot and cold drinks and light snacks.
Visitors to the Bromsgrove park can take-away their purchases and enjoy them as part of their outing.
Bromsgrove District Council Leader Karen May said: “We want people to continue to enjoy our parks while adhering to Government guidelines so this news is great for visitors and also for the café-owner who is an independent trader.
“The business will be operating with social distancing in mind but we need park-goers to mindful of the Government guidelines, especially not to congregate in large groups, and to take responsibility for themselves to ensure their trip to the park is a safe and enjoyable one.”
The café will be open from 10am to 4pm - subject to weather.
James said: “We have been in the café putting these safety measures in place and talking to passersby who are excited to see we are opening again
“I am looking forward to welcoming them back this Saturday.”
