AN alleged stalker accused of assaulting a woman and breaking her mobile phone in Worcester has had his case heard by magistrates.

Despite the coronavirus, Worcestershire courts continue to hear cases this month. Sebastian Salemaj of Teme Road, Tolladine, Worcester appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court. He denied stalking between May 14 and May 21 and assault occasioning actual bodily harm against the same complainant on May 12. He also stands accused of breaking her Apple mobile phone worth £870. The 41-year-old was granted bail until today. He must not contact the female complainant, must live and sleep at his address. Salemaj must not enter the area of Worcester bounded by Bromyard Road, Tudor Way, Oldbury Road and Henwick Road. At Kidderminster Magistrates Court a 17-year-old woman appeared for assaulting four police officers in the execution of their duties in Evesham on October 20 last year. Tom Yates, 20, denies sexual assault against a female in Worcester but admits two charges of assault by beating.

The case of Craig Guy, 49, of Windermere Drive, Warndon `Worcester, was moved to Telford Magistrates Court,

He stands accused of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress and assaulting a constable in the execution of their duty. Martin Coffey, 25, of Foregate Street, Worcester, was fined £80 for failing to comply with the terms of a community order after he failed to attend an unpaid work requirement and give acceptable evidence to cover his absence within five working days.

Tobi Hurding, 31, of Allcroft Road, Birmingham, was sentenced to 23 weeks suspended for 12 months for criminal damage against an ambulance and Bromsgrove Cricket Club and for repeated breaches of a restraining order.
