A NEW management team is being brought together to help support the work of the Food Bank in Ludlow.

The Food Bank has had to cope with very high demand for its services in the first three months of the year.

It has been helping people who have never before had to turn to a Food Bank to help them to feed themselves and their families.

But the Food Bank has also had to cope with a new set of problems because of the coronavirus outbreak.

It has had to find new volunteers as a significant number of the usual volunteers have been unavailable because they have been self-isolating because of age or because they have health conditions that make them vulnerable if they were to catch Covid-19.

There has also been the need to deal with the added challenge of social distancing when making deliveries in order to keep the volunteers safe and the people that they are trying to help.

Despite difficulties people continue to be generous in their support of the Food Bank at a time when donations have never been more vital.
