THE Midlands Air Ambulance and St Richard’s Hospice have now received donations of £1,500 each from Pershore Rotary’s 2019 Tree of Lights Appeal.
The annual appeal asks members of the public to make a donation in memory of their loved ones at Christmas.
The 2019 appeal raised more than £5,000 for its two main charities and a number of smaller projects in the area.
Jo Bailey, events and area fundraising manager for Midlands Air Ambulance, said: “It’s thanks to the generosity of local groups like Pershore Rotary who are in the communities we serve, that this kind donation means that we able to continue funding our rapid response, pre-hospital emergency service.”
Kelly Johns, fundraiser for St Richard’s Hospice, said that the donation was very much appreciated and could cover the cost of a healthcare assistant, delivering individual care in the in-patient unit, for a month.
