TIME is running out to have a say on where the next bus shelter should be in Ludlow.

The Town Council has pledged to put up a new bus shelter each year and is asking for residents to have a say.

This follows the erection of the shelter at the top of Corve Street by the Compass that has been described as a great success.

It provides shelter of what is a particularly exposed part of the town and provides respite for people from the wet and wind.

The bus stop is used by both town services and the bus that runs to Shrewsbury.

For years, passengers waiting on Corve Street for a bus had to suffer pelting rain and howling winds as they waited for the bus.

Now, bus users can wait in an elegant bus shelter that sits comfortably in the streetscape of one of Ludlow’s most historic areas says Andy Boddington, Shropshire councillor for Ludlow North.

The shelter in Corve Street is one of only five in the town with the others being at the Eco Park, Henley Road and outside Ludlow Assembly Rooms.

Ideas for where the next bus shelter should be have to be with the town council by the deadline of Friday, June 26 and sent by email to kate.adams@ludlow.gov.uk.
