SIX West End stars who have wowed audiences in hit musicals like Mamma Mia and Wicked will be giving virtual acting workshops to youngsters in Bromsgrove this summer.

The six sessions, open to those aged 8-21, are being held by Starbuck Theatre Company from August 10-12 and 17-19.

The first workshop on Monday, August 10 will feature Mamma Mia's Steph Parry, followed by Rock of Ages' Cameron Sharp on Tuesday and Six's Jodie Steele on Wednesday.

Wicked's Sam Robinson begins the following week's sessions on Monday, August 17, then Matilda's Dawn Williams on Tuesday and Hamilton's Ellena Vincent on the final day of Wednesday, August 19.

The workshops cost between £7-10.50 and there are discounts for booking all six - email starbucktheatrecompany@gmail.com for more information or visit their Facebook or Instagram pages.

Starbuck's artistic director Sarah Pavlovs has arranged the workshops, which will also include Q&A sessions with the actors.

She said: "I always run a Summer School but obviously this year we've had to be creative.

"This is a worrying time for the arts and I wanted a way to help performers, giving them a chance to showcase what they do best, when they can't work with theatre closures, and also make this opportunity available for whoever wants to do it.

"This summer won't be the same as other summers but for six afternoons you could be performing with an incredible West End star and that's something special to take out of lockdown- a star teaching you a West End routine to your living room!

"And something you previously wouldn't be able to do as they'd be performing in shows!"
