POLICE are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a bookmakers in Redditch.
A man entered William Hill on Batchley Road at about 3.50pm today (Monday, April 18).
The man reportedly entered the store with what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money from staff.
He made off on foot in the direction of Salters Lane, Redditch, with about £500 in cash.
Armed officers were deployed to the scene to trace the individual who has been described as tall with dark skin, of a slim build and with short dark hair.
He is thought to be wearing a long khaki green coat with a hood.
Detective Inspector Emma Wright said: "Thankfully nobody was injured during this incident, however the individual remains outstanding and we are working hard to trace him as soon as possible.
"I would ask that anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident or has any further information gets in touch with police."
