BEWDLEY residents got into the festive spirit in their droves as they enjoyed the annual Christmas Lights switch on event.
Thousands lined the town streets on Saturday (December 2) as a day of fun filled events took place including a Victorian Christmas market, live bands and groups, and children’s rides.
Bewdley Rotary Club had provided the tree for the town while Kidderminster Lions ensured Santa arrived in good time and in style on their sleigh.
Prickly Pear Interiors was celebrating after winning the Best Christmas window competition, for which they were awarded £100 by The Rotary Club of Bewdley.
The big switch-on was preceded by a lantern parade, which started in Severnside South before heading to Jubilee Gardens and then finally on to Load Street.
