REDDITCH Round Table members have been busy brushing down the reindeers and readying the famous red suit as Santa plans to come to town this December.

The club is inviting families from across the town to see Santa from Thursday, December 6.

This year’s Redditch Santa sleigh will kick-off from Winyates Green.

Group chairman Daniel Buckley said: “Last year with Santa was great, despite the poor weather at times we managed to raise a lot of money for the community, we were also able to try a few new routes, some of which worked and some didn’t.

"This year we are growing on that success and have established the route in Woodrow, expanded a new route in Webheath and changed some of the existing routes to try and get to more people.

"As long as the weather holds up for us we think this year could be our biggest yet."

He added: “We love seeing the excited faces all along our routes, our previous Santa sleigh’s have helped us raise much-needed funds for local charities and we are keen to continue to show our support and this year do even more.

"We can’t wait to bring Santa to a street near you, soon."

If anyone would like to help with this year’s Santa sleigh collection they can contact Redditch Round Table on Facebook via the messenger.

Mr Buckley said: “A big thank you to everybody who donates to our sleigh collections - you will make an incredible difference to the lives of those who receive the money.”
